Happy 4th of July! Today is America's birthday and one of my favorite days of the year. Today is the day you get to hang out with family and friends. Today is the day you get to barbecue, play badminton, horseshoes, volleyball and shoot fireworks.
Also today in the sports world we have one of the greatest sports events of all time! The Nathan's hot dog eating contest in Coney Island, NY. We have what has become one of the fiercest sporting rivalries between foreigner Takeru Kobayashi and American Joey Chestnut. Last year, Chestnut was able to take Kobayashi and break his record by eating 66 hot dogs and buns. It should be another wire to wire contest today and it airs on ESPN at 11:00 CST.
